NJ Center for Tourette Syndrome and Associated Disorders (NJCTS), in collaboration with Rutgers University’s Graduate School of Applied and Professional Psychology (GSAPP), presents the nation’s first university-based, stand-alone teaching practicum and clinic for the psychological evaluation and cognitive-behavioral treatment of TS. The program trains a new generation of professionals with interest and expertise in treating TS.

The NJCTS Tourette Syndrome Practicum and Clinic provides:

  • Individual, family, and group therapy
  • Cognitive-behavioral therapy
  • Habit reversal therapy
  • Social skills development sessions
  • Referrals to physicians and testing services

The program offers sliding scale rates for individuals and families with demonstrated financial need. The NJCTS Tourette Syndrome Practicum and Clinic provides a unique, hands-on learning experience for advanced graduate students striving to increase awareness of TS in the professional community. The students are the future practitioners for individuals with TS, a specialized area of psychological care that has alarmingly few specialists. Their consistent ability to provide relief and assistance to families in need has built the reputation of the NJCTS Tourette Syndrome Practicum and Clinic, allowing it to become the premier place for the behavioral treatment of TS-related issues.
