Fundraising for TS walk to continue year-round leading up to 2013 event

The 2012 event was canceled because of Hurricane Sandy, but preparations for the 2013 walk already are under way!

On behalf of everyone at the New Jersey Center for Tourette Syndrome
& Associated Disorders (NJCTS), we hope that you and your loved ones
are safe following Hurricane Sandy. We know that many Garden State residents were affected by this storm, and because of that, we canceled the 3rd annual Youth Advocate 5K Family Run/Walk scheduled for Saturday, November 3, at Borough Park in Mendham.

If you were signed up for the 5K, don’t fret: Your registration will automatically carry over to the 2013 event, and we are working to secure a date and more details as soon as possible! Right now, there is no action you need to take!

We also would like to announce that the official fundraising page will remain open year-round so that donations can be received to help support the statewide education outreach and peer advocacy programs of NJCTS, as well as the 2013 event! If you started a fundraising campaign for the 2012 walk, this means you can keep it going throughout 2013 and build on your total.

Should you have any questions about 2012 registration, the 2013 event, fundraising or anything else pertaining to the 5K, we invite you to call the NJCTS office at 908-575-7350 at any time. We hope to see you and your family at the 2013 event. Please stay safe, and our thoughts are with you as you recover from Hurricane Sandy and move into the holiday season!
