Tourette Talk: Supporting Siblings of Children with Special Needs

All members of a family need attention and support, and all multiple child homes face the daily challenge of distributing parental energy. Neurodivergent children tend to have more conspicuous support needs, and this can sometimes lead to siblings with less obvious needs being or feeling overlooked. In this TS talk we will discuss ways to ensure all children in a household are, and, importantly, feel cared for regardless of neurological profiles. We will share strategies to meet not only the needs of each child, but to make sure that you as parents are giving care and attention to yourselves as well. Every member of the family needs support.
