About Teens4TS

Welcome to Teens4TS, a blog for teenagers with Tourette Syndrome by teenagers with Tourette Syndrome, brought to you by the New Jersey Center for Tourette Syndrome & Associated Disorders (NJCTS).

NJCTS is in the business of providing new and innovative resources for teenagers with TS and tic disorders, that affect as many as 1 in 50 kids — most of them undiagnosed, misdiagnosed and misunderstood.

To help further achieve those goals, NJCTS — which provides answers for these kids and their families through referrals to programs and services, education and training so that families, peers and professionals will be better qualified to help those with TS – launched Teens4TS,  a place for teens with TS to share ideas, opinions, stories and expertise, as well as connect on ways to support each other.

The blog, which went live on the internet on Nov. 14, 2011, initially featured teen bloggers from New Jersey, but since has opened up to anyone worldwide — either for participation or simply reading.

Those wishing to participate as a contributor to the blog should contact NJCTS’ blog administrator at teens@njcts.org. And please helps us spread the word today about this worthwhile venture, one that has all of us at NJCTS very excited!
