The boy came home from school last week with a note saying he was punched in the face. :( Aside from talking with the school to ask when/where it happened, it is clear that we really need to talk to our boy more about how to report an offense at school.
He didn’t tell anyone until the end of the day when his teacher went over his goal sheet. By the time I picked him up, he was already making excuses for his “friend” because he doesn’t want the other party to get mad at him for telling. It is so hard to explain to him that a real friend would accept a consequence and apologize. Things like this make me worry long term.
