I’m Jacquelynn, and I’m turning 16. In 3rd grade, I was diagnosed with Tourette Syndrome, though I showed symptoms since I was much younger. I’ve had to deal with plenty of the negative aspects of having TS, but I wouldn’t trade it for the world! It makes me who I am, and I believe that it makes me a better/stronger person!

Gilana, that’s exactly what it’s like for me, and from my experience, for most people with tics and Tourette. Do you have TS?
I’m impressed by your honesty. All of the tics sound like muscle spasms to me – is that accurate? Like some muscle is contracting and depending on which one, you make a sound or a movement. Is that right? It must feel like you are compelled to do something with your body without your consent. That must feel like you are not in control. Is this the case?
Thank you so much, it’s greatly appreciated. ^
Jacquelynn, you seem like a wonderful personality. We would love to hear more from you about your life more often!
Good for you stay strong and be proud :)
