I developed my symptoms when I was 16 and was diagnosed with Tourette Syndrome at 17. So I have realized that my experience with TS is different than a lot of other kids since I never grew up with the tics and other related behaviors, such as OCD, as part of my life. Even though I have a lot of tics, I am surprised that I can suppress them and keep them under control as well as I do, and I think part of that has to do with my late onset of my symptoms.
This is just what I have been thinking about lately.

my life is miserable after i try to suppress. so i really dont do it much anymore unless i absolutely have to, like for a test or something. if i suppress too long i can bang my head against a wall for hour or mutter or something else and i hate that.
