The North Jersey leg of NJ Walks for TS takes place at Overpeck Park in Ridgefield Park is Saturday, November 18 from 8 to 11 a.m. The event benefits the NJ Center for Tourette Syndrome and their various educational and outreach programs. The morning will include a 5K walk or run through the beautiful park, music, Zumba, activities for the kids, games, a 50/50, raffle and silent auction.
Several of our Youth Advocates sit on the Walk Youth Committee. These young women and men have been working hard to make sure everyone in North Jersey knows about the walk and WHY there is a walk. They have called their local state senators and assemblymen, posted flyers throughout their downtowns, recruited friends and family members to walk with them, secured donations from local businesses and fundraised in support of their own walk.
We wanted to recognize these remarkable young people and thank them for their hard work and dedication. If you’re at the walk and see them, please commend them on a job well done!
