The Empowerment Advocacy Series: Beating The Bully

The impact of bullying can have long-lasting affects. It can increase the risk of depression, anxiety and poor academic performance. Many kids are also susceptible to cyberbullying. Knowing what to do and how to manage situations when you are being bullied is crucial. This discussion offers some helpful guidance for parents and children.

Presenter Nicole Stark is a school psychologist in Hackettstown. She graduated from Montclair State University in 2013 with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Child Advocacy. In 2016, Nicole graduated from Iona College with a Master’s degree in School Psychology. She has worked with students from Pre-K through 12th grade over the last four years. Nicole was diagnosed with TS at the age of 14 and has been a NJCTS volunteer since 2014. She has been an intern at NJCTS, as well as a coach at the Tim Howard Leadership Academy. Nicole currently resides with her husband Ben and dog Tesla in New Jersey.
