Creating a Positive, Inclusive, and Successful Environment for Students with Tourette Syndrome

Monmouth County Library

125 Symmes Dr, Manalapan Township, NJ 07726

Presented by Robert A. Zambrano, PsyD, New Jersey Center for Tourette Syndrome

Join us for an informative and empowering presentation designed to help educators, caregivers, and community members better understand Tourette Syndrome (TS) and its impact on students in school settings. Led by Robert A. Zambrano, PsyD, this presentation will provide practical knowledge and tools to support students with TS and associated disorders.

Participants will learn about the symptoms, diagnosis, and treatment of TS, as well as related conditions such as OCD, ADHD, learning disabilities, anxiety, mood disorders, and depression. This presentation explores how these conditions can affect academic performance and social interactions and offers a wide range of strategies and accommodations that can foster a more inclusive, positive, and successful learning environment.

This session is beneficial for anyone interested in learning more about Tourette Syndrome—educators, families, and community members alike. Participants will gain a clearer understanding of school supports like IEPs and 504 Plans, along with approaches that encourage awareness, inclusion, and academic success for students with TS.

Empower your role in the community with practical, compassionate strategies that help individuals with TS—and all learners—thrive.
