Dr. Jeremy Lichtman Named NJCTS Health Care Professional of the Year

The New Jersey Center for Tourette Syndrome and Associated Disorders (NJCTS) is proud to recognize Dr. Jeremy Lichtman as the 2025 Health Care Professional of the Year, honoring his unwavering commitment to the Tourette Syndrome community and his exceptional contributions to the mission of NJCTS.

Dr. Lichtman has been part of the NJCTS family since his graduate days at Rutgers, working closely with the TS Clinic. Today, as the founder of his own practice, Central Therapy, he continues to support individuals and families affected by Tourette Syndrome through both clinical care and far-reaching advocacy and education.

Whether he’s leading webinars, speaking at school faculty presentations, delivering Grand Rounds for medical professionals, or volunteering as a facilitator for the monthly “Today’s Challenge, Tomorrow’s Strength” parent support group, Dr. Lichtman’s dedication is both tireless and deeply impactful. He also recently assumed the role of Chair of the NJCTS Medical Advisory Board, helping shape the organization’s direction in medical education and outreach.

“If you’ve ever been part of a presentation on CBIT (Comprehensive Behavioral Intervention for Tics) through NJCTS, chances are Dr. Lichtman was the expert behind it,” said Hilary Kruchowy, Executive Director of NJCTS. “He’s a trusted advisor and frequent presenter at the Tim Howard Leadership Academy, and has led sessions on social skills, parenting strategies, and more. Simply put, he has had a lasting impact on our organization. Having his expertise has been invaluable to NJCTS and integral to our success.”

This award recognizes not only Dr. Lichtman’s clinical expertise but also his unmatched dedication to education, advocacy, and compassionate care. NJCTS is proud to honor him as a leader and true partner in the mission to empower those living with Tourette Syndrome.
