The New Jersey Center for Tourette Syndrome & Associated Disorders (NJCTS) would like to thank everyone who took part in the second annual New Jersey Walks For TS event Nov. 19 in Mendham as a participant, donor, fundraiser or volunteer.
It was a tremendous success, and we could not have done it without you! The walk was fun, exciting and worthwhile for everyone – especially the many children and teenagers in attendance with TS, for whom the event was created.
Now that the walk is over and the fundraising drive has closed, we would like to honor the winners of the Top Individual Fundraiser and Top Fundraising Team prizes.
The Top Individual Fundraiser was East Brunswick resident Mitchell Lass, who will receive a one-night stay and breakfast the next morning at the Hanover Marriott.
The Top Fundraising Team was Team Lederman, which outlasted Team Roncati by the slimmest of margins to claim the sports ticket package prize. Team Roncati was spearheaded by the efforts of 17-year-old NJCTS Youth Ambassador Dean Roncati. Team Lederman — which was formed in honor of 10-year-old Ethan Lederman; captained by his mother, Tracy Lederman; and featured two dozen family members and friends as walkers — will receive four tickets to a 2012 Somerset Patriots baseball game, two tickets to the Dec. 22 Rutgers University men’s basketball game vs. NJIT and two tickets to the Dec. 18 Rutgers University women’s basketball game vs. Iona.
Congratulations to everyone involved, and we hope that you enjoy your prizes!
We also have commemorative T-shirts available for purchase from this year’s walk. Adult sizes S through XXL are available for $10 each or two for $15, and shipping is included in the price.
Don’t hesitate on this great offer, as supplies are limited. All proceeds from this sale also will benefit NJCTS. To purchase these T-shirts, please visit https://njcts.org/walk-tees.php
