DETAILS

WHAT WE NEED

  • Members of our Steering Committee who represent a variety of industries and corporations across NJ
  • Individuals who will work with us to deliver strategy, marketing, and planning of three regional advocacy events
  • Steering Committee members who are willing to connect NJ Walks for TS with potential sponsors

HOW THIS WILL HELP

All proceeds from NJ Walks for TS benefit the Education Outreach Programs of NJCTS. These programs deliver on-site in-service workshops to educators, anti-bullying programs for kids, hospital training for doctors, and youth leadership/self-advocacy development. The success of NJ Walks for TS allows NJCTS to meet the growing demands for these services. Revenue from NJ Walks has allowed us to provide Education Outreach services to 82% more doctors, teachers and children over last year. We have a lot more work to do, and with your help, we can reach more of the 28,000 NJ children with Tourette Syndrome, their families, and the tens of thousands of NJ teachers and medical professionals they encounter.

Your skills will empower us to connect with more donors, sponsors, and raise public awareness of TS and the services provided by NJCTS.

WHAT WE HAVE IN PLACE

NJ Walks for TS began in 2010 as a 5K walk and family fun run in North Jersey. Since then, we’ve expanded the program to include Central and South Jersey. The events draw hundreds of members and the public and have received radio and newspaper publicity. NJ Walks for TS is established, branded, measurable and has a direct impact on making life better for children living with an often misunderstood neurological disorder.
