TS Awareness Day in NJ

June 4 is officially Tourette Syndrome Awareness Day in New Jersey! The legislation, SJR-16/AJR-44, aimed to raise public awareness of Tourette Syndrome and improve the quality of life of all people touched by TS. The bill was signed into law by Governor Murphy on July 20, 2018.

Would you like it officially declared TS Awareness Day in YOUR hometown?

It’s simple. Write a letter to your mayor or state representative asking for the designation of June 4, 2024 as TS Awareness Day in “your town,” and be sure to include why YOU think it’s important to bring awareness to your hometown. Tell your story or your family’s story. Be sure to include your contact information so they know that you are a resident of that town. Plus, you may be asked to attend a council meeting to have the proclamation formally presented to you!

Include a copy of the proclamation text below with your letter.
