Last year I had a Last will done that makes provisions for my special needs child. This Will was done by a regular attorney, I mean, not specialized in Planning for families with Special needs children. Would you accept reviewing this Will to make sure it suits my family needs? Also, what is the average charge for a Guardianship letter?

I am happy to review your documents without charge -simply send the documents to me with your contact information.

My firm charges for guardianships on an hourly basis for the work necessary. Our firm’s typical fee (without complications) is between $3,500 and $5,000. This involves the filing of a complaint, order to show cause and proposed judgment with the court, affidavits of two doctors (or one doctor and DDD), an appearance in court and the filing of an order and all other necessary work. The judge will also appoint an attorney for the special needs child (whose time will be billed separately) who will review the application and meet with the guardian and with the child.
